New Changes In Tennessee Insurance Laws - What You Need To Know
From July 1st, 2015 and on, the fine for uninsured drivers caught driving without insurance in Tennessee has increased from $100 to $300. Following January 1, 2016, the police will be able to have your car towed immediately if you don’t have proof of insurance. From now until January 1, 2017, Tennessee will implement a new insurance verification program, available online, that will track down uninsured drivers through their vehicle registrations. Vehicles that are owned by uninsured drivers will be ineligible for renewal.
