New Changes In Tennessee Insurance Laws - What You Need To Know

Effective on July 1st, 2015, uninsured drivers in Tennessee caught driving without the proper insurance will face an increased fine, up from $100 to now $300. After January 1, 2016, cops are legally allowed to have your vehicle towed immediately if proof of valid insurance is not produced. Before January 1, 2017, Tennessee will be creating an online insurance verification program that can find uninsured drivers through their vehicle registrations. Vehicles that are owned by uninsured drivers will be ineligible for renewal.
